Last night I had the pleasure of shooting photos for Jessica and Bryan to celebrate their 10 year anniversary.I just love this couple and their family. Not only are they beautiful on the outside (fact: they are gorgeous!), but so much more on the inside. They have two little girls and two little boys, and they are just as precious as their parents. Jessica and Bryan have such big hearts with which they serve their family, friends, church, and community. I love being around them because they are just vibrant, positive and full of love. Their shoot was filled with laughter and funny faces (I promised Jessica not to post those though). Jessica is very kind and strives for excellence in all she endeavors. Bryan is a natural leader and he protects his marriage fiercely, which is what I respect about him most. I asked them to share a couple thoughts on their ten years of marriage. 

Jessica:

 “10 years of marriage…6 moves…5 jobs…4 children…2 churches…and blessings beyond measure!  Our 10th anniversary kind of snuck up on me this year, to be honest.  You know the saying, ‘The days are long but the years are short’? Well, that pretty much sums up the last decade.  Even though there have been really hard times, really stretching times, really rocky times; they have been used to refine us, purify us, grow us, shape us.  They’ve drawn us closer to each other but most importantly, closer to our Heavenly Father.  I’ve been able to see parts of God’s character clearer after a decade of marriage. He strongly yet tenderly leads me, so does Bryan. Jesus intercedes for me regularly before the Father, so does Bryan. God sacrificed to draw me close to Himself; Bryan sacrifices daily for the betterment of me and the kids. God pursues me to know me, so does Bryan. God loves me unconditionally, and so does Bryan.  May the Lord grant me five more decades of the privilege of walking side-by-side with this amazing man!”

Brian: 

“Jessica,  ten years went by quite fast.  Three kids and one foster son later we seem to be full steam ahead in our marriage.  Praise God that through it all you have remained steady in all facets of your life.  I am blessed beyond comprehension to have you as my wife.  Jimmy Soul didn’t get it quite right.  A pretty woman or ugly woman will not make you happy for the rest of your life.  However, marrying a beautiful woman will bring great happiness.  Beauty does not simply speak of your stunning glow but of your inner most being.  Thank you for loving me and all my quirks.  You are not my better half nor do you complete me.  You are much more than that because you are God’s chosen to be my wife and for that I am richly blessed. Love, Bryan”
