I have written about our wedding that we celebrated on January 28^th, 2017, and it was the most wonderful day of our lives! I wore my white gown, said “I do” in a beautiful church, my dad officiated our ceremony, and just about all our friends and family were with us. It was perfect. However there is something I have NEVER publicly shared before…and that is…we were technically already MARRIED!

Yes, Natraj and I were legally married June 23^rd, 2016. Natraj’s family was in town from India and we decided to take our families and go to the courthouse and tie the knot. In Natraj’s culture there is a ceremony for engagements that basically make it official and then soon after is the wedding. We had a ceremony and just signed a marriage license. 🙂

We only considered ourselves 50% married though, because I didn’t count it 100% until I had my wedding in my dress, with my dad doing the ceremony, and with all our friends and family present. It was fun to have a little secret that only our inner circle knew.

So this coming Sunday, Natraj and I will be celebrating 3 three years of legally being married!

I would do it over again a thousand times. I literally cannot imagine doing life with anyone else.
