These two met at the Passion Conference a few years ago in Atlanta. They happened to be in the same family group and immediately had a deep connection. What happened next were many, many, MANY trips from Alabama to South Carolina and vice versa. They were intentional about getting to know each other, and finally Lucas moved to Charleston to be near the girl he loved.  This couple is especially precious to me because I’ve known Ashley for seventeen years! Her oldest brother was one of my very best friends in middle school and our families always hung out together.

Ashley has such a sweet spirit and is really compassionate. There is just something so gracious about her, and I know one day she will be an incredible mother. With that in mind, I was really interested in meeting the guy who won her heart, and I secretly hoped that he was worthy of such a sweet girl. Well, we hung out all day and I am sure that these two are perfect for each other! I felt so relieved. Lucas is smart, responsible, and unselfish. He clearly takes care of her and strives to please her. He also has a gentle spirit and a really nice smile. They told us their story and showed us the house they’re moving into. Natraj and I were both really impressed about how they interacted and how they are placing such an importance on being prepared for marriage, not just a wedding.

I am SO incredibly-cannot-even-express-how-excited-I-am about shooting their wedding next month! I’m pretty sure I’m going to cry at their wedding (may have to use autofocus a bit). I can’t wait to blog those photos!
