Featured on the blog today is Joseph and Corrie. They were married on July 29th, 2017 at First Baptist Church of North, SC. I was excited to shoot this wedding for quite a few reasons: 1. I have known Joseph since college 2. When I saw Corrie’s dress during her bridal session I just could not wait for her to walk down that aisle! 3. Corrie’s mother has quickly become one of my favorite people.

Joseph and Corrie met at Clemson University while they were students there. Specifically they met at the Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM). They shared a love for community, Clemson football, and most importantly – Jesus.  He popped the question on a mountain top with a view of the water while they painted the landscape (how romantic?!).

Their wedding day was beautiful! I had the opportunity to hang out with Corrie as her and her bridesmaids, junior bridesmaids, flower girl, and mom were getting ready. Corrie is a girl who really values her female friendships and there was just so much joy as they hung out together. Corrie is absolutely beautiful all the time, but when she put on her dress she was a princess. Absolutely GORGEOUS! Click HERE to see her bridal session at the SC State House. Joseph and Corrie decided not to see each other before the ceremony. They exchanged gifts before the ceremony though. Joseph had written a letter and made a video for Corrie. All the ladies watched it together and there was not a dry eye in the place. Joseph’s sweet mom was even in it and she was crying.

The wedding officiant was Doug Hunt, who was the BCM director when Joseph and Corrie met. You could tell how much he really loved them as he led the ceremony, which made it even more special. I loved how Joseph looked watching Corrie walk down the aisle and how he smiled so hard during the ceremony. She looked so happy and the there were a few people with tears in their eyes as she said her vows with a cracking voice. It was beautiful. I am so glad I was able to document such a wonderful couple and beautiful ceremony.

Their reception was at the Historic Springdale House and Gardens. The DJ had everyone dancing and having a ball. There is a photo of him  dancing with Corrie’s mom that I love!
