Carrie and Burton were married on the large front porch of the Hampton Plantation in Charleston, SC. They were the first couple the state had allowed to be married at the plantation, which made it a little extra magical as they said their vows. The inside and the outside of the plantation were breathtaking. Everyone was praying the week before the wedding because the weatherman had called for April showers, but the entire wedding and ceremony was clear and sunny. Carrie was gorgeous in her champagne gown and pearls. She made me think of Audrey Hepburn! Burton and his twelve groomsmen wore light blue seersucker suits. The ceremony was lovely and they shared their first dance on the porch right after they said their vows. The love they have for each other was clearly evident to all as they barely separated for more than a minute the entire reception!

I feel so honored to have had the opportunity to shoot this beautiful romantic southern wedding. Congratulations Burton and Carrie! May you have many many years of love and laughter.
