Matt + Christi were married on 7.17.17, on a warm Monday morning at The Lake House at Lake Carolina in Columbia, SC. As I drove Christi to her first look with Matt, she was squealing with joy and freaking out in the best way. You see, Matt and Christi decided to save themselves physically for marriage. They put up safeguards to insure that they would remain pure during their courtship, and the biggest one was that they would not kiss before their wedding day. They decided to share their first kiss during their private first look on the lake. As I drove Christi to meet Matt, she was just SO excited to finally kiss him. She had waited her whole life for this day. I do not think I have ever had the privileged of photographing a more excited bride!
Their reception was absolutely beautiful! There were so many talented friends and family members that contributed to making their reception absolutely adorable and perfect. Even God chipped in with a beautiful double rainbow!
Today on the blog I am posting something a little bit different. I normally only shoot couples and weddings, but I had to make an exception for a very special little person!
My friends brought Ezra home from the hospital almost three years ago. He was a chunky little baby with big brown eyes. The entire family immediately fell in love. Ezra has never known a moment in his life when he did not have a place of warmth and love. Bryan and Jessica have been trying to adopt him since the beginning and yesterday was finally the day Ezra became their son legally.
Today I had the pleasure of shooting one of the most wonderful weddings I have ever shot. It is an incredible story of love and redemption, one of the coolest I have ever heard. This story is about Houston and Whitney who have been together since she was 17 years old.
David and Caryn are about to celebrate their five year anniversary at the beginning of June. I love anniversary sessions because the couple is so comfortable with each other and there is no rush and the images are so sweet. It is a great time to get some updated photos.
Both of Joey and Nicki hate having their photos taken. This information was shocking to me because they both photograph fantastically! I have known Nicki for a couple of years. She is a small business owner like myself. She is an incredible makeup artist who employs multiple women in her salon located Powdersville, SC. I have worked with her on multiple occasions, and she is a sweet, passionate, with a wonderful soul. We have become pretty good friends over the past few months and I was so excited to shoot her maternity photos!
Edwin & Megan were married at the lovely Lindsey Plantation in Taylors, SC on April 9, 2017. They were married on top of a hill with a beautiful cross behind them. This wedding is really special for SO many reasons, but first let me tell you why this wedding was special to me. Megan was […]
I was speaking to one of the bridesmaids just today from Christian and Megan’s wedding. She said, “Their wedding was perfect. They are just so in love. They are the kind of couple that makes you believe in love, marriage, and all that stuff. You can just tell they are real.” I could not have said […]
Today on the blog we have Kevin and Monica. They are expecting their little girl in April. Monica contacted me about doing their session soon after she found out that they were pregnant. I was super excited to do their photos for one special reason. When Monica isn’t pregnant, she is a Disney princess! She […]
Today on the blog I have another Valentine’s Day mini session! Tyler and Haley are the lovebirds that make casual country life look like the cutest life ever. These two met each other when two of their friends were dating. I guess you could say they were both “wing men” that fell for each other. […]
