I was speaking to one of the bridesmaids just today from Christian and Megan’s wedding. She said, “Their wedding was perfect. They are just so in love. They are the kind of couple that makes you believe in love, marriage, and all that stuff. You can just tell they are real.”  I could not have said it better myself.

Christian and Megan were married at the Madren Center in Clemson SC on April 8th, just a mile or so from Death Valley where the spring game was being played.  These two are Clemson graduates and met while in school there. They actually met at BCM, a Christian organization that serves students at Clemson. It also happens to be the place that my sweet husband I met for the very first time! Oh the nostalgia! Christian and Megan’s wedding day was one for the books. They were both just so excited and calm at the same time. Megan was the perfectly happy and chill as she got ready with her bridesmaids and showed off the pockets in her wedding dress. If she was nervous, no one could tell! She hugged her mother as her mother broke down into tears putting Megan into her wedding dress. Megan looked amazing! She was the most gracious relaxed bride I have ever seen.

I have known Christian over 10 years and I have never seen him show emotions other than happiness. He has always been sweet and kind even though he is giant of a man (Megan looks so tiny next to him…super cute!).  However, when he turned around and saw his soon-to-be wife at their first look, well… there were a few tears. I love the way Christian looks at Megan.  He looks at her and you can just tell his heart is full,and Megan looks radiant as she looks back into the eyes of a man who loves her so completely.

Their ceremony was officiated by Christian’s good friend, Jeff Jowers. They put together a cross to represent their love for Christ and their desire to put God first in their relationship.  The reception was full of dancing. The groom’s brother had some A-mazing dance moves! It was a really fun joyful time as everyone celebrated these two proclaiming their love for each other.

I was able to do some photos near the lake with them after their reception. They were relaxed at the end of the day and all smiles. I was reminded of just how blessed I am to have a job where I am able to be a part of couple’s most important days and to capture it in a way that shows how they really feel in those moments.  I hope every wedding I document has a couple so deeply in love and happy!
