Hello! Welcome to Wedding Wednesday! If you’re new here, each Wednesday I show a session that showcases some part of the wedding process and shows off some lovely venues and/or vendors.

The past couple of weeks have been crazy busy for me. I have actually just opened a studio in downtown Anderson! I have been falling in love with doing studio for a while. However, I LOVE weddings and have no intentions of ever quitting wedding photography. For real though, if you’r interested in getting headshots, personal branding, dating profile pictures, maternity, engagement pictures done – Call me! 🙂

Today on the blog is Colin + Kristi!

I’ve known Kristi since middle school but reconnected with her when I shot one of our mutual friend’s weddings in Tampa FL last year. I was so excited when she asked me to document her big day! Although I’ve been doing this for years, I am always supremely flattered when someone I know personally asks me to shoot his or her wedding. It is a huge compliment!

Colin and Kristi’s engagement session was at a Freedom Park in Charlotte NC. This park is really special because it is also the location where Colin proposed to Kristi! Although blazing hot (a solid 95 degrees!), you couldn’t tell. They look absolutely fabulous!

Colin told me about how he proposed and how he had hidden the ring really well but had been afraid she would find it. He proposed the night before both sets of family came in town so that they could all celebrate together, which is really thoughtful.  I asked them why they wanted to marry each other and I just loved their responses. Kristi wants to marry Colin because he is patient, ALWAYS nice, handsome, funny, and weird (she likes it). *I feel like if we’re all honest, we want someone who is a little weird like us.

Colin wants to marry Kristi because she is the first person in his life he just can’t get enough of. There is never a time he needs or wants to be away from her. He wants to be with her all the time.

My heart melted a little when he said that. They are both so sweet and I love the way they look at each other. I can’t wait to see them promise forever to each other! It is going to be an amazing day!
