These two met almost a decade ago in Myrtle Beach, SC working at the same breakfast restaurant. She was the new girl that he crushed on. When he finally mustered the courage to ask for her number, she gave it to him. However, he had to return and ask for it again a few minutes later when he lost the number in his excitement. After that, it only took a few weeks for them to be inseparable, and only a few weeks before they each realized that they had found the one they would spend their whole life loving. They have spent years together and finally decided it was time to make forever official. 

Daniel and Miranda’s intimate Charleston wedding was perfect. The wedding ceremony was at Patriots Point in front of 50 or so of their family and closest friends. It was sweet how both Miranda’s father and stepfather walked her down the aisle.  Daniel’s face as she walked down that aisle; he was grinning ear to ear.  

The Reception

After the ceremony, everyone traveled to the Water’s Edge restaurant reception. It is a beautiful restaurant right on the water. Both the food and the view were incredible! This reception was very relaxed, and everyone had a chance to visit, and it was clear that each person in the room meant a great deal to the bride and groom.

After eating, cutting the cake, and a dramatic bouquet toss (we are very thankful for the manager fetching the bouquet when it was thrown over the boardwalk!), we took portraits at sunset down the pier. As we walked and talked, they told me how they fell in love and grew together through the years. Although they are only in their mid to late twenties, they seem like they’ve been together for a lifetime. As they talked, I realized they were entering marriage with eyes wide open. A deep commitment, fair expectations, and plenty of acceptance and awareness of who the other is.

Daniel and Miranda were a joy to photograph, and I’m so glad I had the opportunity to document their special day and deep love!
