OH HI!!! WELCOME TO THE STP BLOG! I'M SARA AND I AM WEDDING AND PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHER BASED IN UPSTATE SC. GRAB A SWEET TEA AND ENJOY YOUR VISIT !
Ahhh! I am SO excited to be sharing today’s blog post!
Featured on the blog todays are the lovebirds Nathaniel and Becca! They are middle/high school sweethearts and have basically known from the moment they met that one-day they would get married. They were married Friday, February 23, 2018 at the Nicholson-Mitchell Christian Ministry Center located on Southern Wesleyan’s college campus. Their reception was held at the ALIVE Wesleyan Church nearby.
Nathaniel and Becca decided to have a first look before their wedding in order to get all their pictures done and to get the nerves out. Becca was so excited and was just BEGGING to see Nathaniel for about an hour before the first look! In fact, she chose to move up the timeline to spend more time with Nathaniel. These two are so deeply in love and I loved documenting all the many emotions of the day. Nathaniel always so cool lost it a little when he finally held Becca in his arms. Never overly emotional, Nathaniel’s eyes welled up. To be honest, it may have been Becca’s favorite part of the day. She felt so happy and beautiful about him showing emotion at the sight of her.
These two were married in the church that Becca grew up in and that her father had gone to for years and years before her. It is a beautiful church with beautiful stained glass windows and this amazing gray stone that reflects light. As you will see below, I used that natural reflector for most of their photos. This church had so many great spots to shoot a variety of photos.
Becca’s first look with her father was an emotional one. Apparently, Mr. Bill is not normally mushy but he broke into tears before he even saw her. It was emotional for the few of us that witnessed the exchange. I am huge fan of the father daughter first looks; I think they are even more emotional than first looks with grooms.
The ceremony was sweet and worshipful. These two were ALL SMILES during the ceremony and then they were ready to party. I doubt their church has ever seen so much dancing! I think I saw at least two backflips during the reception!
The day was just so wonderful and I was trying to put my finger on why that was, and I think it was because the families and bridal party were just so exceptionally kind. They were kind and loving to each other but also to the vendors. It was just such a pleasure to spend time with them. You cannot go wrong when the people around you are so wonderful.
I hope you enjoy looking through Nathaniel and Becca’s wedding post. Feel free to share them some love in the comments! Have a great week!
