I’m so in love with this destination wedding that is featured today! Matt and Ashlyn were married on November 10, 2018 at the Pretty Place Chapel with a gorgeous view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Their reception was held at The Upper Room venue in downtown Greenville SC. It was such a joyous day!

Matt and Ashlyn were best friends in middle school and then in 10^th grade, Matt puts his feeling on the line. They’ve been together ever since! They have been together for almost 11 years! I was so excited to document their big day with the help of my sweet friend Christi Johnson and my sister Hannah Touchet.

These two are Florida natives and Ashlyn found Pretty Place on Pinterest while looking for a location for their wedding. I just think that is so adventurous of her! They visited multiple times and the location has become their spot. The day of their wedding the sun was shining and it was chilly. The girls got ready at The Upper Room and the guys got ready at a local AirBNB. Because their ceremony was at sunset they opted to have almost all their photos done before there ceremony while in downtown Greenville. I was able to take this sweet couple to all the best spots in town! Matt freaked out when he saw Ashlyn for the first time in her dress. He had tears running down his face before he ever saw her. He told me that he was so incredibly lucky to be marrying her because he’s known since middle school that she was incredibly special. He is a man who is well aware of the good he has. I loved his sweetness as he talks about her because his whole face lights up. Ashlyn is so sweet and such a romantic person. All the time and careful planning to plan such a thoughtful and warm celebration was amazing. She is such a sweet and warm person so it was no surprise.

Also, my favorite detail of their entire day was the live painter they hired to paint their wedding ceremony. Meredith Piper did an A-mazing job! I’m going to do a whole post on her work soon!
