Hello! Happy Wedding Wednesday! Today’s wedding is a fun one (there was a robot at the wedding!)! Brett and Meredith were married on June 8th, 2019 at The Barn at Sitton Hill Farm located in the Easley/Powdersville area. It is one of the newest venues in the upstate and it is absolutely lovely! The venue looked stunning covered in fresh flowers that Meredith, her mother, and other family members designed. They did a gorgeous job! I think she has a promising career as a florist and designer if she ever wants to leave the nursing field.
Brett and Meredith’s wedding day it stormed all day until the wedding ceremony started. However, when the ceremony started the sun came out and stayed out most of the evening. There were so many little things that just made this day so very special. Brett and Meredith met online and immediately connected. On their wedding day they were both just so happy and they didn’t let the rain bother them. Meredith and I were chatting about her life and it just hit me that with her nursing and military background, she just doesn’t let small things get to her. This is one of the many reasons I just enjoy being around her!
Brett was all smiles all day, except when he first saw Meredith. They had a private first look before their ceremony and Brett and Meredith both shed tears. It was really just so sweet to see them get emotional over seeing each other and realizing that the day had come for them to finally be married!
I want to give a shout-out to Meredith’s sister-in-law, because she had a baby THREE DAYS before the wedding, and was still a BRIDESMAID!!! Her baby arrived late which didn’t allow much time to recover, but she insisted on being there. She rocked it as a bridesmaid too. I was just so very impressed by her.
Brett’s grandmother could not attend the wedding, so they had a GRANNY BOT! That was a first for me. The bot rolled around throughout the day and granny was able to participate in the celebration from her own home. It is such a smart way to include those who are unable to attend for whatever reason. Brett is super tech savvy, so he made it all work smoothly. I know his grandmother appreciated it so much!
Meredith and Brett’s first dance was upbeat and really fun. They did some swing dancing and it was a great start to the reception. I thought that could not be topped…but then Brett and his mother stepped on the dance floor. I did not know that Brett’s mother teaches dancing, so I was not expecting the hilarious and crazy good dance they performed. So awesome!
Brett and Meredith surprised some of their friends who shared a wedding anniversary on their wedding day. They had requested that the DJ play this couple’s first dance song. It was really sweet as they danced. You could tell it was really meaningful for them. It was such a thoughtful gesture to remember other’s big moments even while in yours. I think says a lot about Brett and Meredith as a couple.
There was so much dancing and A-mazing food! There were three Clemson Football national championship rings at the wedding, so of course we had to get some shots of those! I always enjoy photographing weddings where the people love Clemson.
It started to rain at the end of their reception, but who cares? They still did their sparkler exit and ran through the rain. It was such a great ending to a great day.
Congratulations Brett and Meredith!!!! I’m so happy you have found each other! I hope you have 50+ years of bliss!
