Hello! Happy Wedding Wednesday!
I’m excited to share with you a beautiful a vintage library themed wedding that I shot up in King’s Mountain NC back in November. This fall wedding up in the mountains was one of my ALL TIME favorites! It was a dream team of planner and coordination. Seriously in love with the details! There were so many things I loved about this absolutely beautiful day, but first let me tell you about this couple.
Connor + Meg
When they met, she stole some of his fries and made a Lord of the Rings reference and right then Connor Mills lost his heart to Meg Cook. They dated for six years until they got married in a beautiful sunset ceremony that was absolutely perfect! When these two are together they laugh and have so much fun together. You can see their amazing chemistry from their engagement photos HERE. I imagine when they are old and gray Connor will still be doing fun silly things to make Meg smile. I met Connor and Meg when they were in Meg’s brother’s wedding I photographed earlier in the year. David and Lisa’s wedding was so much fun and was an A-mazing party! There was an immediately love for the whole Cook family as they have the most wonderful and fun personalities! Then when Meg called and told me she wanted me to shoot her wedding, I was so flattered! Meg became a good friend during her wedding planning process. We bonded over our mutual tastes in TV shows and movies. The day of her wedding I felt like an honorary bridesmaid.I just love these two.
The Wedding Day
Connor and Meg were married November 9th, 2019.The day of the wedding was absolutely beautiful and they sun was shining. Always a good sign when you’re having an outdoor wedding. Meg has all the feelings and was just so happy to be getting married. Both she and her sweet mama shed tears as she got into her wedding dress. When Meg walked to Connor for the first look she was just so excited she couldn’t contain it. Connor was super excited and didn’t know what to do with his hands. When he turned and saw Meg, Connor just wrapped his arms around her and buried his face in her neck. It was really sweet and just how she had hoped he would react. We walked around the property taking photos as this fun loving couple enjoyed being together. Then we had bridal party photos and it was so fun to meet the people this couple chose to be part of their big day. Such a fun bridal party! The bride is a daddy’s girl, so of course we had to do a first look with him. Meg was weeping before she even got close to him. It was a incredible sweet moment to see their exchange.
The Ceremony
The ceremony was absolutely beautiful. During the ceremony the minister had the parents come up and pray for the couple, which is not something you generally hear. The sermon was challenging as the pastor discussed passage by C.S. Lewis in his book Mere Christianity. It was really hard look at the purpose of marriage and I thought about that sermon for days after the fact. The sun set over the mountains during the ceremony and it was just absolutely gorgeous. I’m so excited to share these photos with you all today!
The Reception
The reception was warm and cozy with the dance floor outside with a s’mores bar and a photo booth. Inside was decorated beautifully and the cake was a piece of décor in itself. Judy and her team an amazing job with the food, the florals, the cake, and the service was amazing. Jordan did an amazing job designing and decorating for this wedding. She is so creative and pays attention to all the details. The night was spent with lots of laughter and dancing. Connor and Meg both told me it was everything they had wanted. A solid success!
I look forward to the next time I get to see this sweet couple and laugh the night away.
Enjoy!
