Oh friends, this is a really good story! You’re going to want to share this one. On April 26th, 2019 Esther and Charlie were married in an adorable backyard wedding in Belton SC. They had their wedding in a sweet friend’s backyard with just ten or so close friends. Their reception was held at the Nose Dive restaurant in downtown Greenville SC.

This marriage was many years in making and shows that God’s love and timing is perfect.

These two met in California after a badminton competition when Esther was 17-years-old. They fell in love in that first meeting and Charlie said he knew then that she was the one. Esther loved how charming and fun Charlie was, that he was always the life of the party.  They were married just two years later when she was 19-years-old. However, they parted ways a couple years later. They both remarried other people, and Esther gave birth and raised two beautiful girls.

Over the years they always wondered what had happened to the other one. 40 YEARS LATER they both found themselves single again.  Charlie was curious as how Esther had been all these years and reached out to someone they had both known. That person shared Esther’s email address with him and they reconnected. Charlie said the moment she walked in the restaurant that forty years just fell away. He said as he tied his tie on the front porch, that it was destiny they be together and today they were making it official (so cute!).  15 months after reconnecting on the anniversary of their first marriage, these two have tied the knot again!

They absolutely should star in their own Hallmark Movie!

I’m so excited for this sweet couple and I hope that they are enjoying themselves as they honeymoon in Europe.
