Today on the blog I am posting something a little bit different. I normally only shoot couples and weddings, but I had to make an exception for a very special little person!
My friends brought Ezra home from the hospital almost three years ago. He was a chunky little baby with big brown eyes. The entire family immediately fell in love. Ezra has never known a moment in his life when he did not have a place of warmth and love. Bryan and Jessica have been trying to adopt him since the beginning and yesterday was finally the day Ezra became their son legally.
Featured on the blog today are Matt + Katie. These two lovebirds met in 2012 and over a period of multiple months became really good friends. Eventually they both realized they had feelings for each other and now 5 years later they are planning their wedding. They are an adorable couple with personalities that perfectly compliment the other. Katie is so energetic, beautiful, and fun. Matt is the strong quiet type with a very generous spirit. I have liked them from the moment I met them. I absolutely loved shooting their engagement session and am counting down the days until their wedding (FYI…it is in 180 Days)!
It is Father’s Day weekend!!!! I hope you all enjoy spending this weekend with or otherwise honoring your dad. This Father’s Day is a big one for me. A month from Sunday my dad is getting on a plane and moving to Africa to father a whole bunch of cute orphans. I am crazy proud of my dad and for this decision and many others. Here is a photo of my dad and me on my wedding day…
Wedding days are about celebrating two people who have fallen in love and are committing their lives to each other. TRUE. However, it is also a day to celebrate the people who have gotten you to this point. Today, I am going to give you 5 ideas of ways to honor your father on your wedding day.
David + Caroline were married in downtown Greer, SC on May 13th at the Cannon Center, which is part of City Hall. They were married in front of the gazebo and the pond. It was beautiful! We were afraid the weather was going to be bad that day, but the sun came out before the wedding and lasted the rest of the day.
Hello, thank you for stopping in to celebrate with me. If you are reading this, you are one of the reasons my business is growing and I am finding success chasing my big dream! THANK YOU! Relationships are why businesses like mine grow, and I can trace back every wedding I have ever shot to a friend (other than that one I booked from Instagram…that was just a lucky fluke). Seriously though, I am so grateful for the people who have allowed me to serve and love them and who then turned around and loved me by referring their friends. You Rock!
I am so excited about the final jewel in my photography equipment arsenal!
The newest member of the family is the Canon 100 mm f/2.8 Macro lens! Also some fun personal news!!!!
Today I had the pleasure of shooting one of the most wonderful weddings I have ever shot. It is an incredible story of love and redemption, one of the coolest I have ever heard. This story is about Houston and Whitney who have been together since she was 17 years old.
David and Caryn are about to celebrate their five year anniversary at the beginning of June. I love anniversary sessions because the couple is so comfortable with each other and there is no rush and the images are so sweet. It is a great time to get some updated photos.
Both of Joey and Nicki hate having their photos taken. This information was shocking to me because they both photograph fantastically! I have known Nicki for a couple of years. She is a small business owner like myself. She is an incredible makeup artist who employs multiple women in her salon located Powdersville, SC. I have worked with her on multiple occasions, and she is a sweet, passionate, with a wonderful soul. We have become pretty good friends over the past few months and I was so excited to shoot her maternity photos!
Edwin & Megan were married at the lovely Lindsey Plantation in Taylors, SC on April 9, 2017. They were married on top of a hill with a beautiful cross behind them. This wedding is really special for SO many reasons, but first let me tell you why this wedding was special to me. Megan was […]
