Featured on the blog today is Chris + Callie’s Lake Hartwell engagement session!
Callie was one of my very first friends I ever made when I moved to SC when I was 10-years-old, and I felt like I was 10-years-old all over again when she asked me to be her wedding photographer! I was just thrilled to death. Not only is she beautiful, her wedding is going to be at a unique location (you’ll see late this summer), but she is marrying a man who really truly loves her. I really enjoyed getting to know Chris and his love for Callie, his dry sense of humor, and hearing a wonderful embarrassing story from his childhood! These two dated briefly when Callie was in her early twenties, and three years later they started dating again but this time it was totally different. When I asked them what the difference was they both said that they had grown up, found some perspective, learned to be less selfish, and learned to put the other person first. It sounds like these two have already learned what they need for a successful marriage! I think my favorite part of their session (other than the great childhood story) was when I asked him basically what would he do if the world was ending. He wrapped his arms around Callie and just held her tightly and let her know he loved her without a word. It was really sweet. I am so looking forward to this couple’s wedding day, it is going to be wonderful!
