Hello!!! Thank you for popping over to the blog to read about the weekly featured couple. This one is really special because Alison is literally the oldest friend I have! We met when we were small children at church. I’m thankful and honored she has asked me to photograph her big day!
Thanksgiving week I traveled down to the New Orleans area and photographed this sweet couple’s engagement session down at Lake Pontchartrain. Corey proposed to Alison on June 29th 2019, right before a fireworks show (how romantic!!!), and this Saturday they tie the knot in Clinton, MS.
THEIR STORY
Corey and Alison met at church and have been in the same Sunday school class together for multiple years. In November 2018 they sat together at a Friendsgiving hosted by their Sunday school teacher. Sitting next to each other resulted in a conversation that led to them getting together. When I asked Corey why Alison he said that the reason grows and changes all the time, but first he was attracted to her and then he fell in love with her personality, and now it is everything that she is. Alison said that just a couple months before the Friendsgiving event that she had just given up on finding the right guy. She said to God that He would just have to put the right guy in her lap because she was done trying. Then God moved hearts and she saw that the right person had been around for a while! I think it’s interesting how often that happens that once we give things to Jesus how He just takes care of it.
These two are getting married THIS Saturday at the Provine Chapel at Mississippi College. I am so excited for this sweet couple to say “I DO”, and that I get to be the one to document it!
[…] This wedding was unique for me because the bride is a friend of mine. I was so happy when she contacted me to be her wedding. I’ve known her as long as I can remember so it was really special to be able to document her big day. I met Cory at their engagement session back in November when I was in New Orleans Louisiana. You can see their session HERE. […]
