Featured on the blog today are Matt + Angela. These two have been dating for a couple of years and are absolutely adorable! I had met Angela last April while shooting her sister’s wedding. She is super sweet and absolutely gorgeous. I love running into her around town because I always walk away happier for our conversations.

What is better than a silly AND romantic couple? LITERALLY NOTHING! Those are the couples that are my favorite to photograph. Today on the blog is featured Merry Ellen and Walt. They are one of my favorite couples of all time.! I have been friends with them since college before they were ever dating each other and was an honorary bridesmaid in their wedding. Although a few years younger than me, I have always felt like they were wise beyond their years. They are kindred spirits and great friends.  Walt is an environmental engineer and he can fix just about anything and Merry Ellen is in med school and is absolutely brilliant. They are wonderful and kind people separately, but together they are a total power couple.

This weekend my sweet husband Natraj and I celebrated 6 years of being together!

I met Natraj May 2011 at Clemson University. I was finishing my undergrad degree at Clemson University and he was working on his masters (and eventually his PhD).  We became friends quickly but I just thought of him as a friend. It took him three months to tell me he liked me. Eventually he wore me down and I fell for him…and I fell hard.

I love doing anniversary sessions! It is really nice to take a couple out and celebrate not only love, but lasting love. I feel like it is a nice reset to remember all the things you love about your spouse and have fun in the process. Featured on the blog today is JB and Eve. They are celebrating their second wedding anniversary on September 12th, and they wanted to do a session to celebrate. They chose downtown Travelers Rest, SC for their session. Eve says ” Jesus and coffee brought us together,” so no wonder we hit multiple coffee shops while in town. They are such a fun couple who are not afraid to be silly and truly enjoy the other. Also, if you ever wanted to know car JB would be…It is an old Cadillac.

Relationships are why businesses like mine grow, and I can trace back every wedding I have ever shot to a friend (other than that one I booked from Instagram…that was just a lucky fluke). Seriously though, I am so grateful for the people who have allowed me to serve and love them and who then turned around and loved me by referring their friends. You Rock!

David and Caryn are about to celebrate their five year anniversary at the beginning of June. I love anniversary sessions because the couple is so comfortable with each other and there is no rush and the images are so sweet. It is a great time to get some updated photos.
