Today’s post was shot at the Upstate County Fair! I love going to the fair every year. I mean funnel cake, ferris wheels, and the best people watching of the year…what’s not to love?! I had the opportunity to photograph Adam and Melissa who are absolutely adorable and bringing the vintage vibes in this anniversary session.
I love doing anniversary sessions! It is really nice to take a couple out and celebrate not only love, but lasting love. I feel like it is a nice reset to remember all the things you love about your spouse and have fun in the process. Featured on the blog today is JB and Eve. They are celebrating their second wedding anniversary on September 12th, and they wanted to do a session to celebrate. They chose downtown Travelers Rest, SC for their session. Eve says ” Jesus and coffee brought us together,” so no wonder we hit multiple coffee shops while in town. They are such a fun couple who are not afraid to be silly and truly enjoy the other. Also, if you ever wanted to know car JB would be…It is an old Cadillac.
Featured on the blog today is Joseph and Corrie. They were married on July 29th, 2017 at First Baptist Church of North, SC. I was excited to shoot this wedding for quite a few reasons: 1. I have known Joseph since college 2. When I saw Corrie’s dress during her bridal session I just could not wait for her to walk down that aisle! 3. Corrie’s mother has quickly become one of my favorite people.
Photographing a precious newlywed couple, in one of the most beautiful buildings I have ever been in, while listening to live opera singers. Seems like something out of a movie, but it was real life.
Matt + Christi were married on 7.17.17, on a warm Monday morning at The Lake House at Lake Carolina in Columbia, SC. As I drove Christi to her first look with Matt, she was squealing with joy and freaking out in the best way. You see, Matt and Christi decided to save themselves physically for marriage. They put up safeguards to insure that they would remain pure during their courtship, and the biggest one was that they would not kiss before their wedding day. They decided to share their first kiss during their private first look on the lake. As I drove Christi to meet Matt, she was just SO excited to finally kiss him. She had waited her whole life for this day. I do not think I have ever had the privileged of photographing a more excited bride!
Today on the blog is my sister Gerry Ann and brother-in-law Hank. They have been married for three years this week and I always take photos of them. This year their family has grown by two. These puppies are the cutest and there is a shot of them kissing at the end of the post. Note their orange purple colors as tribute to the Tigers! So soon until opening game day! Cannot wait for my alma mater to hit the field again. Counting down the days!
Their reception was absolutely beautiful! There were so many talented friends and family members that contributed to making their reception absolutely adorable and perfect. Even God chipped in with a beautiful double rainbow!
I have been waiting what feels like ages to reveal this bridal session! Congratulations to Joseph and Corrie as they tied the knot this weekend in North, South Carolina. I am so excited for you and cannot wait to share your wedding blog post in about a week.
